"Cheesy" Oven Dip

  • 1 cup cashews raw, unsalted, soaked overnight
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 tsp tapioca starch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 tsp lemon juice fresh squeezed
  • 4 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 3/4 tbsp salt


  • Soak the cashews overnight in water. The next day drain and rinse them.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Place all ingredients except the cayenne pepper in a food processor and pulse until completely smooth. Scrape down the sides a few times during the process.
  • Transfer the "cheese" mixture into a oven safe baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake the dip for 26-30 minutes until slightly golden on top.
  • Sprinkle with the cayenne pepper.


Serves well with blue corn chips or bread.
