  • 14 oz chickpeas canned, drained
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric ground
  • 1 tbsp Earth Balance butter


  • Place all the ingredients in a food processor except for the butter and pulse until mashed.
  • Melt the butter in a small frying pan over medium-low heat then add in the mashed chickpeas. Heat through for about 5-6 minutes; stirring occasionally to avoid burning. Enjoy!


Serves well with avocado or tomato slices.
