Maple Walnut "Sausage" Patties

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 2 tsp rubbed sage dries
  • 1 tsp marjoram dried
  • 1/2 tsp thyme dried
  • 1/2 tsp coriander dried
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp rosemary dried
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper fresh cracked
  • 2 tbsp flax seed
  • 4 tbsp warm water
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup pure grade
  • 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin

Instructions
 

  • Add the oats, walnuts and all the spices except the flax seed to the food processor. Pulse until the oats and walnuts have been broken up into tiny pieces but are not yet powdery.
  • Pulse again while slowly pouring the olive oil, maple syrup, water, and flax seeds into the food processor so that everything is incorporated throughout the mixture. Process until a ball forms from the mix.
  • Form the patties using a small sized ice cream scoop or tablespoon measuring spoon. Pat flat to make them into patties.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the "sausage" for about 5 minutes on one side, flip and cook until the other side starts to brown. Enjoy!
