Peanut Butter Drizzled Chocolate Waffles

  • 1 cup flour no bleached flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp agave nectar divided
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened plant-based milk
  • 2 tbs peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup hot water


  • Preheat the waffle iron.
  • Mix the flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa in a large bowl and give a quick whisk. Pour in 1 tbsp of the agave nectar and milk into dry mix and whisk again until smooth. Set aside mixture for a few minutes.
  • In a separate bowl mix the peanut butter, remaining agave, and hot water till a drizzle consistency then set aside.
  • Once the waffle iron is hot, spray with non stick cooking spray. Scoop about 4 oz of batter for each waffle. Cook each waffle until edges are golden brown and steam stops rising from the iron.
  • Once waffles are made, warm the peanut drizzle in the microwave for about 10 seconds. Drizzle sauce over waffles and enjoy.


Add fresh fruit if desired.
