Shallots with Green Beans and Grape Tomatoes

  • 2 tbsp Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 1 cup Grape Tomatoes halved lengthwise
  • 1 tbsp Capers
  • 2 medium Shallots minced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Fennel Seed
  • 1 pound Green Beans trimmed
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper


  • Steam the green beans for 7 minutes until tender rinse with cold water and set aside
  • Using a large skillet heat the oil on medium heat, add garlic, and shallots, cover and cook for 1 minute
  • Add in the green beans and cook for about 2 minutes stirring occasionally
  • Add tomatoes, fennel seed, basil and salt, and pepper to taste cook for about 2 minutes and serve
