Spicy Roasted Chickpeas

  • 15 oz chickpeas canned, drained, rinsed
  • 3 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper fresh cracked
  • 3/4 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp red pepper ground
  • 2 tbsp lime juice fresh squeezed, no sugar added or preservatives


  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees while you line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine chickpeas, oil, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl; toss to coat. Spread in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 14 to 15 minutes or until chickpeas begin to brown, shaking pan twice.
  • Sprinkle with the chili powder and red pepper then bake another 5 minutes. Serve sprinkled with lime juice. Enjoy!
