Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Earth Balance butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika powder
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1/3 cup flour whole wheat, no bleached flour
  • 1 tbsp tapioca starch
  • 1/3 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp sriracha NO SODIUM BENZOATE, more to taste
  • 1 cup Tinkyada macaroni pasta Brand: Tinkyada
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp fresh chives chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat the butter in a small pot over low heat.
  • Whisk in the paprika, curry, salt, flour, and tapioca starch. Lastly whisk in nutritional yeast. Consistency should be clumpy.
  • In a separate pot begin boiling water for your pasta. Cook times may vary depending on type of pasta so cook as directed on your packaging.
  • Slowly whisk in 1/2 cup water into sauce on low heat until it gets to the stage of thinly melted "cheese". Add sriracha to taste.
  • Combine cooked pasta and sauce using any saved pasta water to thin out the sauce if necessary.
  • Plate the mac & "cheese" and sprinkle it with chives and cayenne. Enjoy your spicy treat.

ALERT!!!! This recipe should only be used by people on the 1800 or 2000 calorie plan, and by those that are just eating a plant-based diet, and not on a weight-loss plan.
