  • Waffle Iron


  • 1 1/4 cups flour no bleached flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup soy milk NO SODIUM BENZOATE
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Earth Balance Butter to coat pan


  • Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and sugar in a large bowl. Set aside.
  • In a different bowl, mix the soy milk, applesauce, vanilla, and oil.
  • Add the soy milk mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until it is just slightly mixed. Do not overmix as this will cause your waffles to be chewy.
  • Spray the preheated waffle iron liberally. Pour approximately 1/4 cup of batter onto a waffle iron. Cook until done.
