The P53 Diet

The P53 Diet & Lifestyle was developed by Author/Researcher David W. Brown. The name P53 comes from Dave’s favorite gene TP53 aka P53. P53 is a tumor suppressor gene. It is like a guardian of our genome. It is sometimes referred to as this. Once Dave started eating this way his health changed for the better. He lost weight and kept it off. He did this without sacrificing his organs like other fad diets. The P53 Diet is NOT a fad diet, but a lifestyle. This diet structure is not just for people who want to lose weight, it is also for people who are suffering from cancers and other ailments. Good nutrition is the key to good health. Once you understand how the body works and the metabolic pathways involved, you will see the important role of nutrition, and the amino acids role on our overall health. The people that have been eating the P53 Diet way, swear by it. Please check out the proven results from the testimonials. Below are some samples of what you get with your paid subscription to the P53 Diet.

There are 20 steps to the P53 Diet. If you follow these steps on a daily basis you will achieve your goals. These 20 steps will become a habit. The 20 steps are the foundation of the P53 Diet. People that have followed these 20 steps and used the meal planning with only the P53 recipes have had great success. You can get control of your health by letting your body do what it was designed to do.

Recipes

Each recipe is plant-based, meaning no animal products. I have done 15 years of research on nutrition and the role it has on our overall health. There is so much research on the damage animal products can have on the human body. This website is focused on your overall health. If you commit to eating just the recipes on the P53 Diet plan you will feel the difference in your body.

You can save the recipes you like by clicking on the “Add to Collection” button. After adding to the collection you will be able to place them on your meal plan, or if you are signed up for the “Gold” or “Platinum” plans the meal planning will already be done for you.

You will be able to tell if the recipes are “Soy Free”, “Nut Free” and “Gluten-Free” at a quick glance, as well as search for recipes that do not contain soy, gluten, or nuts.

People with diabetes will be able to search for recipes that are low in sugars (carbohydrates). If you suffer from hypertension and need to have a low sodium diet, you are able to select just those recipes that are low in sodium. With all the people with weakened immune systems these days, the P53 Diet lets you choose just those recipes that help build a healthy immune. Once you select the recipes that fit your needs you can add them to your daily meal plan collection.

The sliding servings tab will let you adjust the servings, so you can make a serving for 1 or more if needed. The ingredients list is also a checklist, just in case you need to pull it up while you are at the store.

Below the instructions is a note field where you can make your own personal notes about that recipe.

The nutrition facts about the recipe have been modified to give you all the values of the vitamins and minerals. We even go steps further by providing the essential amino acid values to also include arginine, which is a conditional amino acid but is greatly needed in the body.

The image provided is a sample of the search field choices for choosing a recipe. People that are using the P53 Diet for weight loss can select the number of Calories, Carbohydrates, Fats, and Proteins per serving to help them build their meal plan. You have the ability to select by the amounts of each in a recipe. You also be able to choose Course or Cuisines.

If you are a person with a certain type of cancer you will be able to select those recipes that have the ingredients that have been shown through research to fight certain cancers by causing apoptosis of the cancer cells.

Eating an array of different plants helps the gut microbiome. New research shows that eating high-fiber diets helps with weight loss. Our bodies need gut microbes. Microbes come from eating different plants, nuts, seeds, mushrooms, and everything that is offered in the P53 Diet. While limiting calories is not the only weight loss strategy (limiting calories can help make sure you are not overeating), there are other factors that come into play. These include exercise, minimizing the intake of processed foods, and leaving out animal products. There is a lot of misinformation out there, so we help explain the truth thru research, not who pays money to have a good report. I have come across studies that have ties to industry, to produce good results that benefit the industry. Our only concern with the P53 Diet is to give you the best information to get you healthy.

Meal Planning

The image shows the meal plans that you can create if you are on the “Bronze” or “Silver” plans. These two plans are self-managed. We provide a blank template for each new “Bronze” and “Silver” account plan. The people that signup for a managed plans “Gold” or “Platinum” will have the meal plans already done for you based on the info you provide after signup. The “Gold” and “Platinum” plans will notice each plan by the week and the calorie amount for each day in that week. You also have the ability to modify the plans or by adding notes to meal plan days.

The image above is a sample of starting a meal plan. You can drag and drop any recipe that was added to your collection. You have the ability to quickly move recipes around on your weekly meal plan, just dragging and dropping the recipes to another location.

The image above shows you all of the nutrition totals for that day. This is a great tool to keep you on track with your goals. You can also add notes to your meal plans, or create shopping lists. You can even create shopping lists for produce, pantry, etc to help you while shopping.

Shopping Lists

You can create a shopping list from a single recipe or create a shopping list from your weekly meal plan. The shopping list created will have groups such as Pantry, Vegetables, Fruit, Freezer, etc to make it easier for you while you are in the grocery store. On the left-hand side of the ingredients is a check box, so that you check off the items as you put them in your cart. To the right of the ingredients is the amount needed in the recipe.

Weight Loss Tracker

You can keep track of your weight loss progress by simply setting your target weight, and then weighing yourself each night before your go to sleep. You can also keep a history of the calories you have consumed from your daily meal plan totals. It is also a good idea to keep track of your daily exercise. This is a  great and simple way to see your path to achieving your weight loss goals. This is only for you, no one else can view your private information.

Food Values Plant-Based

The food values of the most common plant foods in America are separated into groups. The group of foods contains values for Fruit, Vegetables, Legumes, Whole Grains, Mushrooms, Nuts, and Seeds. Under each plant food, there is detail About, Cancer & Disease Fighting, Phytochemicals, Vitamins, and Minerals.

The foods on the P53 Diet website are all plant-based. There are not any animal products on this website. The years of my research have pointed out the problems with consuming animal products, from increasing the risk of certain cancers to the toxins in the animal fat that have been shown to block certain pathways.

Cancers

Through years of research, I have studied the research reports that show that certain foods can cause apoptosis in certain cancer cells, and also slow the Growth of certain cancer cells. Most cancers today are from somatic mutations at 92%, meaning that they are not germline mutations (hereditary). This means the cancer growth is from environmental factors, such as UV, Viruses, consuming the wrong foods in your diet, and toxins. It has been shown through research, that eating the right foods can lower the risk of certain cancers. This area on the website will explain some of those cancers and what plant-based foods have been shown to help fight certain cancers.

The Body

The P53 Diet website will also give a brief overview of the human body and the systems and organs in those systems and their functions. You can read about the blood work and know the normal values. You can also learn about hormones and enzymes, and their roles in the body.

Our bodies are made of different cells, on this website you learn about the cells and what the different types are, and how they work in the body. Nutrition is the most important part of cell functionality.

Cells are the building blocks for all living things. As we said, the human body contains about 50 trillion cells. There are two basic types of cells, prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Eukaryotic cells contain a nucleus while prokaryotic cells do not. Prokaryotic cells are single-celled organisms, and eukaryotic cells have the ability to be single cells or multicellular. I won’t go into the details of these two types of cells. Our cells take in nutrients from the food we eat by breaking down the food into small parts.

Understanding how the human body work, will help to show you the important role that good nutrition plays in your everyday life.

Toxins

Putting bad chemistry in your body does bad things to your body. The P53 Diet website will show which food additives have been shown to do damage to the human body. We will show the toxin list and what they do to harm us. The P53 Diet website will show you which food dyes are harmful to the body.

A carcinogen can be any substance, such as a radionuclide, or radiation that promotes carcinogenesis. Other non-radioactive carcinogens like dioxins, asbestos, and tobacco smoke are carcinogens as well. There are carcinogens found in the food we eat. You will be able to see carcinogens that can be in our food supply. If you as parents buy organic whole-plant foods and wash them as I have stated earlier in my book “Stop Killing Your Kids”, you can greatly reduce the risk of these carcinogens entering your children’s bodies. Some carcinogens can mutate genes that can stop the tumor suppressor gene “P53” from doing its job.

Vitamins/Minerals

Vitamins/Minerals play such an essential part in foods. Getting the right amount of nutrition is a must to live a healthy life. Nowadays people eat processed foods that are quick to get but are void of the proper nutrition. Eating the recipes found on the P53 Diet website are loaded with proper nutrition without the unhealthy chemicals of processed foods.

You can find on this site the Vitamin or Mineral and then see what they can do for the body. We will also show which foods contain that certain vitamin or mineral that you needed. You will also be to see RDA amounts according to if you are male or female and your age.

Immune System

In today’s environment, the need to understand our immune system is a must. The P53 Diet website walks you through understanding our immune system and how what we eat plays such a major role in how strong our immune system is. We will show you the components of the immune system. From B cells to T cells to cytokines, we will show you what they are, and what they do.

Carbohydrates

On this site, we will explain what carbohydrates are, and their role in our bodies. There are a lot of misconceptions about carbohydrates out there today, we will try to clear up any misconceptions for you. You will learn the difference between simple carbs and complex carbs.

Fiber is another misunderstood word. The P53 Diet will explain the role of fiber in our daily diet. As you can see from the screenshot we will show you the chemistry of the different food sugars.

Cooking Oils

The problem with cooking oils is the amount in which we use them. For example, if you make something that calls for 1 cup of coconut oil, you are consuming 188.5 grams of saturated fats; according to the FDA, that is a whopping 943% of your daily allowance. Try to use cooking oils very sparingly. Pay attention to the smoke points of cooking oils; they can produce dangerous fumes and free radicals if the temperatures rise above the smoke point. Some oils are better suited for salad dressings because of their low smoke point.

The P53 Diet will not allow recipes that contain high amounts of cooking oils in any recipe. The chart shows the amounts of fats that are in 1 tablespoon and is broken up into saturated fats, monounsaturated fats, and polyunsaturated fats.

You can also see the smoke points of most cooking oils!

pH Levels

The normal pH level of stomach acid is 1.5 to 3.5. When the stomach has too much acid it can cause heartburn, and acid reflux, and can make you nauseous. Stomach acid helps to digest food as well as kill harmful bacteria. Your diet plays a major role in having too much stomach acid. Following the P53 Diet & Lifestyle will help keep your stomach pH levels normal.

According to a 2018 study that found high anxiety can cause an increase in stomach acid. This can cause gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). A common symptom is acid reflux, which is when the acid backs up in the esophagus. Your diet plays a key role in balancing the acid levels in the stomach and the blood. The P53 Diet & Lifestyle is a great way to keep acid reflux in check. Once I switched to an all-plant-based diet, my acid reflux issues went away. Most of the people that have been following my diet have expressed that their acid reflux was no longer an issue.
