  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 bags red tea (Red Zinger is a great choice)
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint leaves packed
  • 4 cups watermelon cubed
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice fresh squeezed, no added sugar or preservatives

  • In a small saucepan, bring 3/4 cup of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add in the tea bags and mint. Steep for about 5 minutes. Strain tea mixture through a fine mesh into a bowl. Discard tea bags and mint. Stir in remaining 3/4 cup of water.
  • Pour mixture into ice cube trays. Freeze for 2 hours or until solid.
  • In a blender combine watermelon cubes and lemon juice. Blend until mixture begins to liquefy. Slowly, add a few cubes at a time, until smooth and slushy. Pour into glasses, stirring before serving.
