Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 bags red tea (Red Zinger is a great choice)
- 2 tbsp fresh mint leaves packed
- 4 cups watermelon cubed
- 1 tbsp lemon juice fresh squeezed, no added sugar or preservatives
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring 3/4 cup of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add in the tea bags and mint. Steep for about 5 minutes. Strain tea mixture through a fine mesh into a bowl. Discard tea bags and mint. Stir in remaining 3/4 cup of water.
- Pour mixture into ice cube trays. Freeze for 2 hours or until solid.
- In a blender combine watermelon cubes and lemon juice. Blend until mixture begins to liquefy. Slowly, add a few cubes at a time, until smooth and slushy. Pour into glasses, stirring before serving.
