Ingredients
- 1/2 cup almonds sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- 2 lbs Brussel sprouts quartered
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 shallot chopped
- 1/8 tsp salt to taste
- 1/8 tsp black pepper to taste
- 1/2 tbsp fresh thyme
Instructions
- In a small skillet over medium heat, saute the almonds for about 3 minutes. Set aside.
- In a large skillet with a lid over high heat, add the olive oil, Brussel sprouts, garlic, shallots, salt and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes or until golden brown. Reduce heat, cover and allow to cook for an additional 4-5 minutes. The Brussel sprouts should be a bright green color.
- Add the thyme and sprinkle the almonds on top. Serve immediately.
