  • Stove

  • 2 tbsp Earth Balance butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika powder
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1/3 cup flour no bleached flour
  • 1 tbsp tapioca starch
  • 1/3 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp sriracha NO SODIUM BENZOATE, more to taste
  • 1 cup macaroni pasta no bleached flour
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp fresh chives chopped

  • Heat the butter in a small pot over low heat.
  • Whisk in the paprika, curry, salt, flour, and tapioca starch. Lastly whisk in nutritional yeast. Consistency should be clumpy.
  • In a separate pot begin boiling water for your pasta. Cook times may vary depending on type of pasta so cook as directed on your packaging.
  • Slowly whisk in 1/2 cup water into sauce on low heat until it gets to the stage of thinly melted "cheese". Add sriracha to taste.
  • Combine cooked pasta and sauce using any saved pasta water to thin out the sauce if necessary.
  • Plate the mac & "cheese" and sprinkle it with chives and cayenne. Enjoy your spicy treat.
